The end of the searching?

In my career nanotechnology is very important. Recently, a professor who is a pharmaceutical chemist (I study this career), through nanotechnology began looking for a cure for cancer. Using curcumin, that is the active principle of curcuma, he managed to destroy cancer cells, but unlike chemotherapy, curcumin does not destroy the good cells, but kills only the bad ones. I really like this topic, because I´m very interested in helping to take care of and improve the health of people.
Felipe Oyarzún,  the professor who discovered this, worked with curcumin because all cancers start with inflammation, and curcuma has anti-inflammatory properties.
The impact that this discovery could have is enormus, because it would mean the end of a search that lasted many years. It is a great contribution to the health of people, and it would also mean a great reduction in the costs of treatment, because only dose of curcumin is required.
What I mentioned above are great advantages, and to this is added the curcumin does not have the side effects of chemotherapy, such a hair loss, weakness, nausea or vomiting.
So far only tests have been done on animals, and have given excellent results. The process of discovery and testing has been complex, mainly because economic resources are not available.
All of the above sounds very nice, but whithout money there is not much that can be done. Let´s hope thet everything continues to work well so that soon this cure can be applied to the people who need it.
